Tooth Whitening

Everybody loves a bright white smile. Because of that tooth whitening is by far the most popular cosmetic dental treatment performed. If you feel like brushing twice a day and normal cleanings isn’t enough then let’s go through the different options you have in tooth whitening.

KoR:

The strongest and most effective whitening solution on the market now is KoR whitening. By using a very precise set of trays and material KoR whitening is producing results never seen before by dentists. KoR is not a one size fits all whitening system but is personalized to fit your needs and desires. KoR is even able to whiten even the before unbleachable tetracycline stained teeth. At Home bleaching:

This is the whitening option that most people are familiar with. By fabricating trays to specifically fit your mouth we are able to give you gel to use at home to whiten your teeth to the desired color. In sometimes as little as a few weeks you can have the bright white you are looking for.

Over the counter products:

There are more over the counter products for whitening than there are stars in the sky. Dental Solutions does not recommend any specific product but if you have any questions about products ask at your visit and we can hopefully provide some help to your choice.

Tooth whitening does have some downsides. Some people have very sensitive teeth and are unable to whiten due to that sensitivity. Also crowns, bonded, fillings, veneers, and other dental restorations will generally not whiten along your natural teeth. Whitening is also not indicated for people who have active cavities because the whitening products can cause pain in those areas. Please consult us before starting any whitening program.
